Terms of Service

Church Journey is a ministry follow-up platform designed to help churches organize people, tasks, forms, milestones, touchpoints, care needs, and simple team responsibility.

The core promise of Church Journey is: "Nobody falls through the cracks."

Church Journey is not intended to replace every part of a full church management system. It is focused on simple, clear follow-up.

Church Journey may be used by churches and authorized church team members. You must only access a church account if you have been authorized by that church.

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for using the platform appropriately.

Churches are responsible for the information they enter into Church Journey.

By using Church Journey, each church agrees that it is responsible for:

• having appropriate permission or authority to collect and use the information it enters;
• keeping its team member access up to date;
• deciding what information should or should not be recorded;
• handling pastoral, care, family, youth, and sensitive information wisely;
• complying with its own legal, denominational, insurance, child-protection, and ministry policies.

Church Journey provides software. It does not replace pastoral judgment, legal advice, denominational policy, mandatory reporting obligations, or local church governance.

Church Journey is not an emergency response system.

Do not rely on Church Journey as the only method for urgent pastoral care, crisis response, suicide risk response, abuse reporting, child-protection concerns, medical emergencies, or situations requiring immediate action.

Churches must maintain their own emergency, safeguarding, abuse-reporting, child-protection, counselling, and pastoral-care procedures.

You agree not to misuse Church Journey. You must not:

• access data you are not authorized to access;
• enter unlawful, abusive, harassing, or exploitative content;
• use Church Journey to spam people;
• attempt to bypass security or interfere with the service;
• upload malicious code or harmful content;
• use the platform for purposes outside its intended ministry follow-up use.

Church Journey may offer paid plans, beta plans, founding church pricing, trial access, or manual/legacy accounts.

Founding Churches can join for $20 USD/month while we continue shaping Church Journey with early churches, subject to the details shown during signup or communicated directly.

Prices, features, limits, and availability may change over time. Existing commitments will be handled in good faith, but Church Journey may update its product, plans, or pricing as the service develops.

Payments may be processed through a third-party payment provider. By starting a paid subscription, you agree to the billing terms shown at checkout.

If payment fails or an account becomes past due, Church Journey may contact the church, limit access, or suspend service. During early beta or manual provisioning, some churches may have legacy/manual access that is handled separately.

Churches may invite team members to access their account. Each user should use their own email address.

A user email address may belong to one church account only. Church Journey does not currently support one email address belonging to multiple church accounts.

Church Journey is still growing. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed. We will try to make changes in a way that supports churches well and preserves the core purpose of the product.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, outages, third-party service issues, bugs, or internet problems may affect availability.

Church Journey may rely on third-party services for hosting, database/authentication, email delivery, payments, and other infrastructure. Church Journey is not responsible for every issue caused by third-party providers, though we will work to resolve service-impacting problems where possible.

Church Journey may send service-related emails, account emails, invitation emails, onboarding emails, support emails, and billing-related messages.

Churches are responsible for the ministry communications they send through Church Journey, including message content, recipient selection, consent, and unsubscribe/legal obligations where applicable.

Church Journey owns the software, branding, design, code, and platform materials unless otherwise stated.

Churches retain responsibility for and rights to the church-specific data and content they enter into the platform, subject to the access needed for Church Journey to provide the service.

A church may stop using Church Journey. Church Journey may suspend or terminate access if an account is misused, unpaid, creates risk, violates these Terms, or is otherwise harmful to the service or others.

Church Journey is provided as a software tool to support ministry follow-up. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Church Journey is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for ministry, pastoral, legal, safeguarding, counselling, or emergency decisions made by a church.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability where the law does not allow it.

Church Journey does not provide legal, privacy, employment, counselling, child-protection, insurance, or denominational compliance advice. Churches should seek qualified advice for their own policies and obligations.

We may update these Terms as Church Journey grows. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
